I went to New York a couple of weeks ago with Nike and I got some serious sneaker envy. Here's the thing: New Yorkers wear sneakers with everything. Seriously. And they make them look insanely cool somehow, not like a morning commuter who changes into her heels when she gets to work. So this #ShoesdayTuesday is dedicated to sneakers.
Here's what I'm loving:
Nike x Liberty Navy Bourton Liberty Print Dunk Sky Hi Sneakerboots
I've become quite a fan of the Nike x Liberty of London collaborations, and their latest collection does not disappoint. Featuring the Bourton Liberty print, which was first produced on dress fabrics in the 1960s, this paisley print is a great way to amp up your winter wardrobe. The Dunk Sky Hi SneakerBoot is a winterized version of Nike's first ever wedge sneaker, the Nike Dunk Sky Hi and features a quilted ankle collar for added height, a duckboot-style toe, and WaterShield technology to keep moisture out.
£180.00. Available now at Liberty London and will hit Nike.com mid-November.
Superga for The Blonde Salad
Supergas are a favourite among fashion folk, so it's no surprise that the sneaker brand would team up with fashion power player Chiara Ferragni, a.k.a. The Blonde Salad. Of all three styles, I love the leopard print the most -- just think how chic they would look with a pair of black skinny jeans!
€ 99.00. See superga.com for more info.
Giuseppe Zanotti Oyster Grey Croc-Embossed Leather London Sneakers
If you're looking for luxe kicks, Giuseppe Zanotti is the way to go. I'm currently coveting this stunning pair of crock skin sneakers with gold hardware. Swoon!
$665. Available at ssense.com.
MICHAEL Michael Kors Studded High-Top
If you want a luxe-looking sneaker, but at a more affordable price, these MICHAEL Michael Kors kicks will do the trick. These black suede sneakers with patent leather and gold accents are sure to make a statement, without breaking the bank!
$195. Available at michaelkors.com.
Nike Rosherun Premium White Reflective Trainers
Sticking to the animal print and white theme, next up are these Nike Rosehrun sneakers. The leopard print is very subtle, which is perfect for someone who wants to foray lightly into the animal print world.
$135.04. Available at asos.com.
Nike Dunk Sky Hi Paris
Like most girls, I'm a sucker for anything that involves Paris. I will take whatever I can get that will bring me closer to the city of love, including these Nike Dunk Sky Hi kicks. This "Paris" shoe is part of Nike's "City" series, which pays tribute to Paris, New York, Milan, London and Tokyo. The coloured tweed and gold-tone lace tag are très chic, non?
$225. Available at barneys.com.
Nike Free 3.0 V5 EXT
Another thing that always gets me? Tiffany blue. I almost bought this pair of sneakers at the Nike store in New York, but alas, I didn't want customs to catch me with too many pairs of kicks in hand. Now I'm regretting the decision. These sneakers are so cute, they probably would have motivated me to work out more.
$110. Available at nike.com.
New Balance 420
The New Yorker's sneaker of choice? New Balance. I can't tell you how many (super stylish) girls I saw running around in these runners. They definitely give off a retro vibe, which translates into an uber-cool shoe. Plus, you can't go wrong with that price tag!
$90. Available at Gravity Pope.
Maison Martin Margiela Purple Patent Leather Replica High-Top Sneakers
A sneaker post wouldn't be complete without a pair from Maison Martin Margiela. I actually regret not copping a pair from the Margiela's collection for H&M because they were such a steal. Regardless, this pair of patent leather kicks are seriously cool and sure to "break necks" (a term my sneakerhead friends taught me back in the day...ha!)
$790. Available at ssense.com.
Lanvin Nude Stitched Leather High-Top Sneakers
These Lanvin high-tops are so perfectly girly and a refreshing change to its more aggressively sporty and loud counterparts. Plus, the pink leather and ribbon laces remind me of my old ballet slippers!
$920. Available at ssense.com.
