I used to hate wearing pants. I would even brave the dreaded Canadian winter in several layers of tights under skirts and dresses simply because I refused to wear pants, especially jeans.
I only recently introduced pants into my wardrobe (much to my friends' surprise) and to be honest, I don't know what I was thinking earlier! Now, jeans have become an integral part of my wardrobe (seriously..what took me so long?!), and while my closet has been mainly stocked with skinnier styles, I have become pretty obsessed with the look of boyfriend jeans.
The oh-so-stylish Peony Lim took a style note from Carrie Bradshaw and layered a black tee over a white dress shirt. The blazer and fun hat add some whimsy while that bright red envelope clutch give the look a pop of colour. Finish off with pointy-toed pumps to add some femininity.
Take your good old denim shirt and don a Canadian tuxedo. Keep the look relaxed and low-key by adding a pair of runners.
Blogger Aimee Song of Song of Style shows off her patriotic side in red white and blue. A simple tank and strappy sandals are a simply, yet stylish way to wear the boyfriend jean.
Julia Sarinana of Sincerely Jules epitomizes downtown cool in this outfit. Everything about this outfit is perfect, from the beanie, to the I <3 New York sweater to that amaaazing jacket to those ankle boots.
One of my favourite ways to wear boyfriend jeans: white dress shirt, leather jacket and killer heels.
This look is perfect for weekend brunches. The camel-coloured topper adds polish, and the red accessories keep the look exciting.
Keep things comfy and cozy by pairing a knit sweater with your boyfriend jeans.
Blair Eadie from Atlantic-Pacific layers a cable-knit sweater over a striped long-sleeve tee for the perfect weekend look.
While the baseball tee is rather simple, the leopard print pumps and red lip take this look to a different level..
If you want to keep the masculine feel of your boyfriend jeans, pair them with oversized pieces. And as always, be sure to cuff your jeans to show off your footwear.
A long blazer with studded shoulders and a floppy hat add some serious style to your average white tee and jeans.
