As much as I wear black, deep down inside I'm truly a girly girl. My eye is instantly drawn to anything frilly or poufy and I have a love affair with the colour pink.
While I used to associate pink with spring (Easter, flowers, etc.), it was clear on the fall '13 runways that this girly hue makes a great colour for the colder months as well.
Carven gave us dreamy, pastel pink outerwear, Topshop Unique teased us with soft pink furs and wool skirts and even Marc Jacobs' "morning after" girls strutted the runway in pink toppers, proving that the hue doesn't have to be reserved for the girliest of girls.
To make pink more fall/winter-appropriate, choose pieces with thicker fabrics, like a wool coat or a knit sweater. You can either go all-out girly or use a pink piece to add a touch of femininity to an otherwise edgy outfit.
