What I would have worn to NYFW

So there's this thing going on right now which you may or may not have heard of called NYFW...

And truth be told I would much rather be in New York checking out the shows, creeping on street style stars and Instagramming/tweeting every moment, but alas, work comes first and I am still here in Toronto.

As I was clicking through street style galleries obsessively one evening, I began to dream up the outfits I would have worn had I been in New York right now.

Here's what I came up with:

What I Would Have Worn to NYFW by style-rx

I'm super obsessed with H&M's Paris collection - especially this embroidered skirt, which, unfortunately for me, is SOLD OUT in my size (insert sad face). I would have paired it with a flowy blouse, a floppy hat, killer heels and a classic bag (3.1 Phillip Lim, to be exact).

What I would have worn to NYFW - Look 2 by style-rx

For a day when I would be feeling more adventurous, I'd pair this awesome graphic skirt from Zara with a cropped neoprene sweater. To give it even more edge, I'd pair it with these uber cool Acne-inspired boots (which I previously blogged about here) and throw on the of-the-moment accessory: a gold chain necklace. And of course, this outfit wouldn't be complete with a fun bag, like this Alexander Wang Rockie.

What I would have worn to NYFW - Look 3 by style-rx

My third and final look would be very downtown NY-inspired with some luxe pieces to add some class. A jersey worn as a dress paired with some lace-up sandals and my holy grail of dream handbags: the Chanel boy gives off that urban cool vibe.
