My absolute favourite colour for falls is oxblood/maroon/burgundy/bordeaux/anything that is a deep, rich, red hue. From my lipstick to my nail colour to my scarves to my shoes, I can't get enough of this colour which I have deemed perfect for the season.
So, this week's Shoesday Tuesday is dedicated to everything oxblood.
Here are the oxblood-coloured shoes I'm currently coveting:
My poor combat boots from several years ago are in dire need of a replacement. The heel has pretty much disintegrated, and it's gotten to the point where I just feel gross wearing them. Rather than go for basic black or army green, I have my eyes on these maroon babies from Aldo. Marlen in Bordeaux, $130.
I've got a soft spot for super cool kicks (especially boys who wear them...swoooooon), so naturally, a pair of oxblood sneakers are a must on this list. I'm loving these Filling Pieces pony hair sneakers..though unfortunately, they are no longer available. *sad face*
Luckily, the fashion editor-favourite Superga has also come out with a gorgeous merlot-hued sneaker. Perfect for pairing with a pair of skinny jeans for weekend errands. 2750 Cotu Aerex in Bordeaux, $98.
I've been on the hunt for a pair of wellies for quite some time now, but I had never found a pair I loved enough to take the plunge. Though I'm still not too convinced that rubber boots look that good on me, this oxblood-coloured pair from Hunter might make me think otherwise. Hunter Boot in Burgundy, $160.
Okay, how badass are these boots from Aldo? I would totally style these a la '90s-grunge. And bonus points for the rubber soles, makes for less slipping (which has happened to me FAR too many times!) Gaenor Ankle Boot in Bordeaux, $170.
If you're not ready to go full-on oxblood just yet, these Michael Kors ankle boots are the perfect segway. With a bordeaux front and black back, they are a great complement to any outfit. You can get them at one of my new favourite (and Canadian!) shoe shopping destinations, TheSeptember.com. Sindra Leather Ankle Boot, $450.
Clearly I'm a little bit obsessed with boots, but I actually do plan on wearing shoes and heels too this fall. I'm loving these patent leather kitten heels from Zara. Kitten Heel Synthetic Patent Leather Slingback Shoes, $59.90.
And for days when I'm feeling like I need a little bit of extra height, these pumps will do just perfectly. Zara Pointed Faux Patent Leather Court Shoe, $49.50.
And finally, the dream shoe. Though way out of my price range, I'm lusting over these Burberry boots from afar. Bridle Chain Ankle Boots, $906.
What are you fave colours for fall, and which shoes do you like the best?

Madelyn
