September Essentials

style-rx.ca: September Essentials

Happy last day of September, lovelies! With TIFF, fashion weeks and more, it's no wonder the month flew by so quickly.

Here are a few of my essential items that got me through September:

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Tote
Lining up at 6:30 in the morning to snag this tote (among other items) at Target was TOTALLY worth it. This bag adds polish to almost any outfit, and can fit just about everything (including my laptop). I also had the opportunity to meet the sweetest girls in line and together we conquered the store rambo-style and scored quite the haul.

ZARA TRF Ankle Boots
I've pretty much been living in these boots all September. You already know my obsession with boots and anything oxblood, so naturally, I fell in love with these babies as soon as I spotted them. I'm a little bit disappointed that they're not leather, but for the price ($59.90!!), they're worth the buy, even if they only last for one season.

Chloe Roses de Chloe Eau de Toilette
I love my Chloe perfume -- I've been using it for years. But I figured it was time for a change, and what better than the newest selection from Chloe, Roses de Chloe? Developed with a stroll through Parisian rose gardens in mind, this new scent features Damask Rose combined with bergamot, magnolia, white musk and amber.

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder
I have heard SO many things about this cult beauty fave, and I can see what all the hype is about now. Its moisturizing ingredients are perfect for my dry skin (especially now that the weather is getting colder) and it gives me just a hint of colour to combat my soon-to-be pale skin. It's also great for contouring!

Estée Lauder Pure Color Gloss in Electric Wine
One of my favourite beauty looks is the vampy lip -- it's perfect for autumn and seems to work for just about every skintone. I've become especially fond of this gloss from Estée Lauder. It gives the same amount of colour as a lipstick would, but has a beautiful glossy finish to it. I also found that as it wears off during the day, it leaves a beautiful berry stain on my lips.

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in Wine to Five
I've become a fan of CoverGirl's nail polish range -- it's super easy to apply (even for incredibly unsteady hands like mine) and it lasts a good week or so without chipping. It also doesn't need a top coat, which is convenient for girls on the go. For September, I loved this framboise colour for both my fingernails and toenails (but not at the same time, of course).

Knuckle Rings
Tumblr and Pinterest have gotten me into the knuckle ring trend. These dainty rings just seem so modern and exude cool. I've been stocking up on tons of them from Aldo, and been wearing them on the regular. The only downfall? It's a pain to take them all off and put them back on when you wash your hands, so I suggest you keep the rings to a minimum if you're a germaphobe like I am.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you all for all the love and support you've given style-rx.ca. There are big things coming, and I can't wait to share more with you all! Here's to a great October!
